ECHOES AND WHISPERS - UNCUT

ECHOES AND WHISPERS

- UNCUT

Listen,
the whispers,
of leaves
turn color
announce
autumn is here.

Touch,
the echoes

of the rain
that
waters
and blossoms spring.

Taste,
uncut
the snow shapes
the crisp cold

ices the wintertide.

See,
the sand sculptures
that paint
that rekindle
a childhood summer past.

Smell,
the seasonal airs
stimulates the senses
and the memories they carry.

In the glee,

in the hopes and dreams,

in the human spirit,

lives the miracle of life.

The magnificent
voices in every pitch
deep and resounding
the melody of

echoes and whispers – uncut

UNMASKED

I am
asked,

What
part of you
would
I wish to be?

Without
a pause
for I have,
ALWAYS
known.

I reply,

"I’d be your tears."

conceived
in your heart,
born in your blue eyes,
to live on your cheeks,
and die on your
LIPS.

For You My Love

I walked alone, my stride was awkward and I tended to swagger, there was no confidence in my steps.

You appeared and illuminated the dark void I resided in. The air around me filled my lungs with the soft fragrant taste of a new day.

I lost myself in the unique color of your stunning blue eyes. I had never seen any quite that blue before; they engorged me and I saw the depth of an ocean. You reached carefully and held me, held my heart in the comfort of your gentle touch.

I could hear the song of the Scarlet Tanager again. The vibrant colors of new blossoms engaged me. The ground beneath my feet was soft, and warm. My stride was steady.

My love, how do I explain what you mean to me? Release doves to blanket the sky in white? Should I drop rose petals at your feet as you walk? You know I would do it gladly, willingly.

More than this I want you to know even when we first met I knew then it was only you. You are my one my only love.

You are the laughter in my every pore, the only vision in my sweet dreams. You are all the strength I possess. You are the new wonderful me.
