A WHISPER ECHOES, UNCUT.

BEYOND THE

MOUNTAIN TOP

You are the Evergreen
that scents the raging cold of my winters.

The laughter beneath the all too serious.

You are the calm
that soothes my racing thoughts.

The smile that garnishes and flavors
the otherwise bitter taste of regret.

The thorns and petals
in perfect measure.

You are the path
at the proverbial fork in the road.

The perfectly carved filly
on this crowded merry-go-round
of plain old benches.

And we,
once
perfect strangers
now
lovers with hearts in sync.

This is not meant to be a loud boast
from a mountain top.

Just a few quiet words
to say
Thank You,
and
Thank God.

Armand
